//What the assessment covers
Evidence first, then a decision you can defend.
Emergency response
Rapid technical support when a crankshaft or bearing has failed and the engine is down.
Initial damage assessment
Establish what has happened and stabilize decision-making before anything irreversible is done.
Bearing-failure review
Examine bearing condition and wear patterns for what they reveal about the underlying cause.
Crankpin & journal inspection
Surface-condition documentation, MT and PT NDT, and close examination of journals and crankpins.
Dimensional survey
Measured geometry — ovality, taper, alignment, and deflection — recorded against OEM limits.
Repairability evaluation
A technically grounded judgment on whether, and how, the component can be responsibly repaired.
Technical recommendations
Clear options with advantages, limitations, and risks — documented for every stakeholder.
//NDT & documentation
Inspection you can stand behind.
Inspection is performed by personnel qualified and certified in accordance with our employer ASNT SNT-TC-1A written practice for Magnetic Particle (MT) and Liquid Penetrant (PT) testing. We are candid about what each method can and cannot detect, and we combine NDT with dimensional measurement so findings are complete.
Every assessment produces documentation prepared to support technical review and discussions with owners, OEMs, class societies, insurers, and repair stakeholders. Where we may also perform the repair, our findings and measurements are fully documented so others can review them.
